Upper Marlboro Flooding
September 8th 2011
September 8th 2011 brought some of the worst flooding seen in decades to Upper Marlboro. Heavy rain fall from the remnants of tropic storm Lee added to the record breaking rain fall during the month of August. This one-two rainfall punch pushed the water levels in the Western Branch to 21 feet. The high water closed several roads for days and caused millions of dollars in damage to homes and business' in Upper Marlboro including our very own shop.
